Major European Expected to get Less than Fifty Radeon RX 6900 XT GPUs at Launch

If you thought that the Radeon RX 6800 series launch was bad, then hold tight, you’re in for another treat. As per the largest Swiss retailer, Digitec, the store will only be getting a total of 35 “Biggest Navi” graphics cards.

In fact, Digitec is holding a lottery to sell these few dozen cards to avoid scalpers and resale. However, the winners will still have to pay the MSRP of US$999 to buy the part.

Today, December 4th, we learned that we will be receiving 35 AMD RX 6900 XTs in a reference design. Delivery dates are currently still unknown. Just as with the AMD Radeon 6800, there won’t be enough cards to go around.

NVIDIA’s RTX 30 series graphics cards are slowly and steadily improving in supply, with the situation expected to return to normal by Feb-March depending on your region.

The same goes for the Ryzen 5000 CPUs. Retailers are expected to get a couple of thousands of units in multiple shipment-runs through Christmas and New Year’s.

However, it looks like the Big Navi GPUs drew the short straw here, and will be given the lowest priority, with the next-gen console SoCs getting the highest, followed by the Ryzen 5000 CPUs.
