Multiple retailers have started listing Intel’s 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H based laptops for pre-order with the price exceeding a whopping $3,000 for the top-end parts. All the parts listed are octa-core models with the operating clocks being the only differentiating factor between them. Despite that, the prices vary by several hundred bucks between the various same-core SKUs:

All the above models are paired with a GeForce RTX 3080 and either a Core i7 or i9 CPU. Going from the Core i7-11800H to the Core i9-11900H, you’re paying an additional 0 for a slightly higher clocked CPU with the same eight cores and 24MB of L3 cache. (Alprazolam)

On the other hand, going from a GeForce RTX 3070 to a 3080 (on the CPU side, Core i7-11800H>Core i9-11980HK) will cost you an additional $800 which means you’re paying $500 for the faster GPU and once again an added $300 for the Core i9.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Cezanne-Tiger Lake-H prices vary as more and more retailers stock up on both models. It’d be fair to say that these prices carry a premium and the final market prices should be a tad lower.
