Intel Panther Canyon (TGL-U) Coming in H2 2020, Beast Canyon (TGL-H) w/ up to Core i9 Coming in Q4 2021

Intel’s Tiger Lake-U based NUC Mini-PCs, dubbed Panther Canyon are slated to launch this month, featuring up to four Willow Cove cores and Gen12 Xe graphics. These chips will have a TDP of 28W and come with a dual-channel memory configuration (DDR4-3200 SODIMMs up to 64GB), one M.2 slot, and a PCIe x4 Gen 4 NVMe slot.

In terms of I/O, you’re looking at an HDMI 2.1 and Mini DP 1.4 ports, and support for Optane M10 memory, quad-display, 8K support (via TB3 ports). For connectivity, Intel’s own Ethernet port and a Wireless-AX 201, IEEE 802.11ax WiFi 6 and BT 6 will be available.

There’s also a Tiger Lake-H based NUC platform planned for late 2021, featuring up to eight cores and sixteen threads. You’ll be able to choose between a Core i3, i5, i7, and even an i9. It will be codenamed Beast Canyon (or NUC 11) and has a tentative release date of Q3 or Q4 2021.
