Intel Core i9-12900KF Discounted to $499 ($115 Off), Priced Same as the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X

The Intel Core i9-12900KF (with disabled iGPU) has been discounted to $499, shaving $115 off its official MSRP of $614.99. This puts it right alongside the Ryzen 9 5950X in terms of pricing while offering superior gaming performance and roughly the same levels of content creation grunt. Keep in mind that while the Zen 3 flagship has been slashed in price across most retailers, this is an individual deal over at eBay:

The unit is being sold by a well-reputed seller with about 99% positive feedback. The CPU has already sold 524 units and is shipped from multiple locations in the United States. Although returns aren’t accepted, in the event of a technical failure, replacements are issued.

The Core i9-12900KF is a 16-core part with 8P (Golden Cove) and 8E (Gracemont) cores. The former has a peak boost clock of 5.20GHz along with 30MB of shared L3 cache and a base TDP of 125W. It is essentially the same as the 12900K, except with a disabled/defective iGPU. CPU performance is unchanged.
