Intel Core i9-11900K AotS Benchmark Leaks Out: 10-15% Slower than the Ryzen 9 5950X

The first gaming benchmark of Intel’s upcoming 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S flagship, the Core i9-11900K has leaked out. Yes, it’s an Ashes Escalation score, paired with a GeForce RTX 3080 at 1440p, so it’ll be GPU bound to some extent.

The 11900K manages 62.7 FPS at the “Crazy” preset at 1440p.

The 5950X yields 72 FPS at the same settings (but at 1080p) which seems like a small gap. At the same time, a user managed to find a 1080p benchmark of the 11900K, where the CPU gets 64.7 FPS on average.

That means we’re looking at a delta of just 11% between the 16-core Ryzen 9 5950X and the octal-core i9-11900K. Intel might just snatch back its gaming crown from AMD in the coming months if this benchmark is anything to go by.
