Intel Core i9-10900K Overclocked to 7GHz Catches up to the Ryzen 9 3950X in Cinebench

Splave, a well-known overclocker from the United States has managed to push Intel’s 10th Gen flagship, the Core i9-10900K to 7GHz across all cores. He achieved the feat using LN2 and tested the CPU in Cinebench R15 with all 20 threads running at a constant 7GHz.

While running at 7GHz across all cores, the 10900K almost caught up to AMD’s Matisse flagship, the Ryzen 9 3950X, scoring just under 3.9K points in the multi-threaded Cinebench R15 benchmark. The latter is still ahead by around 100-200 points, but this is the highest score by a consumer Intel CPU. Here’s a comparison:

That’s an increase of nearly 50% for the Core i9-10900K. It not only manages to beat the Ryzen 9 3900X but also lands very close to the 3950X. Now, if only this was achievable under realistic conditions.
