Intel Core i9-10850K Drops to $400, $50 Cheaper than the 8-Core Ryzen 7 5800X

Out of all the 10th Gen Intel CPUs on the market, the Core i9-10850K which is essentially a lower binned 10900K in disguise is easily the best gaming processor from Team Blue. The recent price cuts have brought this part down to just $400, making it more attractive than AMD’s newly launched Ryzen 7 5800X. Although the Zen 3 part is a bit faster in gaming workloads, the 10850K isn’t that far behind and a bit of memory and cache overclocking puts it right on par, if not faster than the new AMD chip.

The Core i9-10850K is an unlocked, 10-core part with a boost clock (single-core) of 5.2GHz. It comes with 20MB of L3 cache as well as integrated Gen9. (Tramadol HCL) 5 graphics if you don’t have a discrete GPU just yet. Like the rest of the K series chips, it has a TDP of 125W, with a PL2 power target of around 200W.

The lower latency puts it ahead of the Ryzen 7 3700X in gaming while the additional two cores mean that it’ll also be faster in content creation and rendering workloads:
