Intel Core i7-12700K Gaming Benchmarks Reportedly Leak Out?

A bunch of Intel Alder Lake gaming benchmarks (via: La Frite) has surfaced. It’s unclear which particular SKU we’re looking at here, but it’s either the Core i7-12700K or the Core i9-12900K. A total of four video game benchmarks have been shared by the source, including Far Cry 6, Forza Motorsport: Horizon 4, CS: GO, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

The supposed Core i7-12700K, paired with the Radeon RX 6600 scores an average of 112 FPS on average in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. In comparison, the Core i9-10900K scores just under 100 FPS in the same game when paired with the 6600. In Horizon 4, the 12700K scores over 190 FPS in tandem with the Radeon RX 6600, more or less the same as the Ryzen 5 5600X. Similarly, the score of 506 FPS in CS: GO falls in line with what we’ve seen with six and eight-core Zen 3 parts.

The fact that the exact CPU name is blurred and the GPU it was paired with is the recently launched Radeon RX 6600 makes it hard to gauge. Either way, it looks like the 12th Gen Alder Lake-S processors are almost here and they’re gonna shake things up in the CPU market, especially for gamers.
