Intel Core i5-13400 (10 Cores) and i7-13700 (16 Cores) are on Sale in South Asia: Report

Intel’s budget 13th Gen Raptor Lake-S desktop processors are already on sale in some parts of South Asia, well ahead of the official announcement. While it is fairly common to see engineering/qualification samples in the Chinese grey market, retail units are a less frequent occurrence (pre-launch). Two retailers in Pakistan have exactly that. The Core i5-13400 and the i7-13700/13700F have been listed for sale at rather acceptable prices:

The 13400 is a 10-core CPU, packing 6P and 4E cores. The “Raptor Cove” P-cores have a base and boost clock of 2.5GHz and 4.6GHz, respectively. It is the ideal counterpart to a budget B660 board with high-speed DDR4 memory. The listed price equals roughly $313.

The Core i7-13700 is a 16-core with an equal number of P and E cores. The former run at a base frequency of 2.1GHz and a peak of 5.2GHz. With a base TDP of 65W, it’s an excellent gaming CPU, likely faster than most Ryzen 7000 chips. It is priced at $447 for the F and $508 for the standard variant.
