Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake-S Processors Launching on 4th November [Rumor]

The latest rumors on the street suggest that Intel will be launching its 12th Gen Alder Lake-S processors on the 4th of November. User @hw_reveal (Twitter) certainly seems to believe this, and multiple outlets have corroborated the story. The next-generation lineup is expected to be revealed during an online event in late October. (From leaked benchmarks). We know that the flagship Core i9-12900K will be quite a bit faster in single-threaded and multi-threaded applications compared to everything on the market at the moment.

The below CPU-Z benchmark of the Core i9-12900K compares it against AMD’s Ryzen 5000 flagship. As you can see, it manages to beat the Ryzen 9 5950X by a rather considerable 20%+ and levels with it in the multi-threaded benchmark.

You can expect similar performance across the board, with even larger gains in the budget segment. The Core i5-12400, 12500, and 12600 with the Gracemont+Golden Cove core combo will be considerably faster than their AMD Zen 3 counterparts. The potent single-threaded performance paired with the 2x multi-threaded grunt will be a notable upgrade over the existing Rocket Lake-S parts. Add to that better boost clocks and an advanced process, and you’ve got a winner. (youmoms.org)
