HWiNFO to Add Enhanced Support for AMD Zen 4 in Next Update, Raptor Lake-S PCH Support Already Added

Popular monitoring tool HWiNFO is expected to add “Enhanced early support of some Zen4-based systems” with its next program update sometime later this month. This doesn’t, however, mean that AMD’s Zen 4 processors are anywhere close to launching. It indicates that early engineering samples of the 5nm Zen 4 lineup may start popping up soon. Team Red has officially stated that it plans to release the Zen 4-based Ryzen 6000 and Epyc Genoa processors in the second half of 2022.

Meanwhile, the latest version of the software released last month added support for Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake-S PCH (chipset). Raptor Lake-S is expected to be a refresh of Alder Lake-S featuring the same 10nm ESF node and a derivative of Golden Cove and Gracemont, with a launch in late 2022/early 2023 to combat the Zen 4 lineup.

This update also fixed support for IMC Gear Mode for Alder Lake which is similar to AMD’s 1:2/1:1 memory controller to memory frequency ratio. In addition to this, support for AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 series which leverages the Navi 23 GPU was also added which means we should see a launch very soon.
