GTA VI will Reportedly Allow the Use of Cryptocurrency in-game

According to a new rumor on the internet, Rockstar’s next title in the Grand Theft Auto universe will reportedly allow players to buy and trade in cryptocurrency. Keep in mind that we’re not talking about actual digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, but virtual in-game currencies in addition to the existing one ($).

Popular data-miner, Tom Henderson claims that he’s heard that GTA VI will include cryptocurrencies for players to dabble in. They will be able to invest it in the in-game virtual stock market, and will also be awarded for completing certain missions.

It’s unclear whether their value will vary as in real life or stay stable, but that’s something that can be discussed after this rumor is confirmed. As of now, take it with a giant chunk of sand.
