GPD Win 3 Handheld Gaming PC w/ Tiger Lake-U Runs Witcher 3 @ 720p 60 FPS (High)

A lot of handheld PC are popping up on the market. Recently we heard of the Aya Neo based on AMD’s Renoir APU, the 4500U. Today, we have news pertaining to an Intel Tiger Lak-U based device, namely the GPD Win 3. It uses a Core i5-1135G7 with four cores and eight threads, along with the fastest iGPU from Team Blue, Xe Gen12.

The above variant featuring the 1135G7 manages to run the Witcher 3 at 720p 60 FPS using a mix of high and medium setings. In case you were wondering this is impressive, they’ve got another variant featuring the Core i7, with 96 EUs which should be roughly 15-20% faster than this 80EU part. However, the latter will be mostly limited to the backers on IGG.

Now, you’re probably gonna want to know the price. The base console is set to go on sale via IGG for a rather hefty $800. That’s even higher than the Aya Neo which features a slightly slower GPU, but a higher resolution and a better CPU. It will start shipping in the second quarter of 2021, right around the same time as the Neo.
