Ghostwire Tokyo Won’t Hit 60 FPS w/ Ray Tracing Even with an RTX 3080 on 1440p or 4K (PC)

Ghostwire Tokyo, an upcoming game from Tango Games (a Japanese Studio) will be an absolute beast to run. Going by the official specifications, you won’t be able to hit 60 FPS with ray-tracing enabled even with the most powerful hardware. At 1440p, GeForce RTX 3070 is rated to deliver an average of 30 FPS at the 30 FPS High RT preset, with the RTX 3080 likely hitting 40 FPS. 4K is an absolute nightmare even for the likes of the RTX 3080, averaging just 30 FPS at the highest quality preset. Meanwhile, AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT is expected to be even slower than 30 FPS on average in the title with the highest ray-tracing preset at 4K.

Things are relatively better without ray-tracing but hardly ideal. The GeForce RTX 3070 is aimed at delivering 30 FPS at 4K using the Highest quality preset. This indicates that the RTX 3080 will likely fall short of the 60 FPS mark as well, and you’ll need an RTX 3090 or 3080 Ti for the task. To top it off, these specifications take into account the usage of an upscaler, either AMD’s FSR 1.0 or NVIDIA’s DLSS 2.x. This means that Ghostwire Tokyo is a critical disaster when it comes to the optimization aspect of the PC port.
