GeForce RTX 2060 Bestselling NVIDIA GPU in Germany, RTX 3080 Remains Out of Stock

The graphics card market continues to be a bizarre place. In the first week of 2022, the GeForce RTX 2060 was the top-selling NVIDIA GPU at Mindfactory, Germany. Considering that a three-year-old GPU is a bestseller at a retailer frequented by enthusiasts just goes on to show the levels of desperation among gamers these days. Anything will sell which also explains why we have graphics cards like the Radeon RX 6500 XT which were never designed for desktop parts.

Anywho, the Radeon RX 6600 XT (370) continued to be the most popular GPU at Mindfactory, for nearly a month now. It was closely followed by the RTX 2060 (325) and the RX 6600 (280). The Radeon RX 6700 XT comes in third with 220 units sold, and the RTX 3070 at #5 with 180 units sold.

It’s worth noting that the GeForce RTX 3080 which is one of the three Ampere GPUs based on the GA102 die sold just 10 units, indicating that NVIDIA is still supplying very limited quantities of it to AIBs, much like the RTX 3090 and the RTX 3080 Ti which is doing only slightly better with 20 units.

On AMD’s side, the Radeon RX 6800 sold just 20 units while the $1,000 Radeon RX 6900 XT came in at #6 with 160 units sold. Looks like Team Red is taking full advantage of the fat profit margins at the very top.

Coming back to the RTX 2060, the source hasn’t indicated whether the SKUs sold were the older 6GB variants or the newer 12GB ones. Looking at the prices, both are incredibly horrible deals. Both are going for over 600 Euros at most retailers which is more than twice the MSRP, and roughly the same as the RTX 3080’s sticker price.
