Galax GeForce RTX 4080 16GB SG Breaks 3.6GHz Boost Barrier in a First: 40% OC

The GeForce RTX 4080 has been overclocked to 3.6GHz, a massive 40% boost over its stock 2.5GHz peak. Galax has achieved a record boost clock of 3.6GHz with its SG variant of the RTX 4080. The GeForce RTX 4080 has a base clock of 2.2GHz, and a boost of 2.5GHz, allowing for a 2.58GHz 1-click overclock.

In our review, we were able to overclock the core by 250MHz and the memory by 1,500MHz but got a meager uplift in real-world performance. That said, a while 1.1GHz overclock should result in an ample boost in average frame rates.
