EVGA Launches GeForce RTX 2080 and 2070 Super KO Edition

After the massive success of GeForce RTX 2060 ($299), EVGA has gone ahead and launched the KO Editions of the RTX 2070 Super and 2080 Super. The new RTX KO cards cost $499 and $699, respectively and are aimed at providing gamers with cheaper RTX options than the rest of the board partners. However, unlike the EVGA RTX 2060 KO, the situation is somewhat different in the higher-end market. Many OEMs are already selling the 2070 and 2080 Super at the same price point as the newly announced KOs.

The EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 Super is priced at $499 and features the same specs as the Founders Edition card. A boost clock of 1770MHz and 14Gbps memory speed, resulting in a bandwidth of 448GB/s.

In comparison, Gigabyte’s GeForce RTX 2070 Super Windforce OC with a triple-fan design costs $10 less at $489 and features a slightly higher boost clock (1785MHz vs 1770MHz on the KO).

The EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Super KO Edition faces a similar predicament. Like its younger sibling, it also runs at stock clocks without any factory overclocks. A core boost of 1815MHz and a memory speed of 15.5Gbps. Zotac and MSI already have RTX 2080 Supers that cost the same or less than EVGA’s KO Edition.

The most obvious competitor to EVGA’s RTX 2080 Super KO Edition is Zotac’s Twin Fan variant. It also has a dual-fan design and features stock specs. On top of that, it costs $10 less than EVGA’s offering.
