Epic Games Store Free Games Lineup: Sherlock Holmes, Just Cause 4 and Close to the Sun

Look out for the next bunch of free games to add to your collection when you open Epic Games Store this week. The current batch includes Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments and Closer to the Sun. The giveaway lasts till the 16th of April and is followed by an even tastier lineup.

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment by Frogwares, one of their best entries in the Sherlock Holmes series and definitely worth your time if you are even remotely into Sherlock Holmes or crime-mysteries in general. This came out back in 2014 and was well-received. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, well there’s no excuse not to now.

Close to the Sun is the second offering of the week, an indie (Storm in a Teacup) first-person game with some elements of horror. We haven’t played this personally, but hey it’s free, and indie developers can always use some love.

From April 16th to 23rd, Epic Games is giving out the latest entry in the Just Cause series by Avalanche Studios, Just Cause 4, which came out in late 2018 to moderately above average reviews. But it’s free, so shun those reviews and mark your calendars if you want to have some fun with an open-world shoot-em-up.

It’s paired with the indie (Santa Ragione srl) game Wheels of Aurelia, a top-down driving game with a story, worth checking out if you’ve got the time.

That’s the Epic Games Store free game update for now, so go have some fun, and stay safe.
