Epic Game Store has Given Away Free Games Worth $2,000 to PC Gamers

One of the primary ways Tim Sweeney and his Epic Game Store have tried to woo PC gamers away from Steam is giveaways. And we’re not talking about some remote indie game no one has ever heard of but the biggest AAA titles that cost a full $50-60 in some cases. The biggest names include GTA V, Just Cause 4, Batman Arkham Trilogy, Alan Wake, and Civ VI (speculated). According to a calculation, the total cost of the games given away by Epic for free comes up to a staggering $2,000!

It looks like the company isn’t showing signs of slowing down either. As per rumors, the EGS may giveaway games like Borderlands Handsome Edition, Ark Evolved, Civilization VI, and possibly even the Witcher 3. It’ll be interesting to see whether the long-held hatred players have had towards Epic wanes in the coming months or not.
