Cyberpunk 2077 looks fantastic, especially with some sweet ray-tracing thrown in, but if you’re itching to amp it up even further, HDR is the next step up.
Cyberpunk 2077 offers HDR support if you already own an HDR capable monitor of course, which would be the best option and this mod would have no use for you then.
If you don’t however, this HDR ReShade mod aims to simulate HDR through the “True HDR” method, which helps improve visual effects, color and depth over the vanilla version.
Called the ‘Autonomous ReShade‘, this mod uses a software-based HDR method that mimics ‘Real HDR’, which is usually hardware-based. The ReShade renders the HDR texture internally in the GPU using the software-based HDR method and is then transformed to be displayed on SDR displays. The results are almost similar, though hardware-based ‘Real HDR’ still is the best option if you have it.

It’s available over on Nexusmods and is created by the modder ‘Vanguard1776’. Installation just requires one to copy all the downloaded files and place them in the main Cyberpunk 2077 folder on your PC.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now out on PC and consoles and had the biggest PC launch of all time with 8 million pre-orders. Though the console versions seem to be lacking compared to the PC version, a next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version are already slated for release next year to help tackle that shortcoming.
