CD Projekt Red Overtakes Ubisoft to Become Europe’s Largest Game Publisher

In rather surprising news, CD Projekt Group, the developer and publisher of the Witcher game series has overtaken Ubisoft to become Europe’s largest video game publisher. At present, the total worth of CDPR on the Warsaw Stock Exchange is PLN 36.5 billion, slightly higher than that of Ubisoft which is valued at 35.61 billion.

It’s very likely that the French publisher will soon regain the lead as recently there have been many fluctuations in the company shares. However, this is still a major landmark for the Polish company. It’s worth noting that The Witcher 3 is celebrating its 5th Anniversary while Cyberpunk 2077 is just months away from launch.

The CD Projekt Group includes the CD Projekt Red studio behind Cyberpunk 2077 and the Witcher franchise, as well as the GOG Game Store known for its no-DRM policy.
