Notorious leaker SnoopyTech tweeted the Asus ROG Ally’s price. This is for the high-end version with the AMD Z1 Extreme. If the device is priced, as leaked, at $699, it will directly compete with the Steam Deck (512GB). The price has taken most by surprise as it was expected to be around $999. We will keep an eye out for information about the AMD Z1 version as that will likely compete with the Steam Deck (64GB) in terms of price.
Many still have concerns about the battery life and how Windows 11 performs on the handheld. We’ll know more on the 11th of May.
The handheld market is certainly heating up and we won’t be surprised to see Lenovo and Alienware handhelds down the line.
