AMD’s Ryzen 9 7900X3D is Now $100 Cheaper: Less than the Intel Core i9-13900K

AMD’s Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs have gotten their first round of discounts. The Ryzen 9 7900X3D, in particular, is going at an unbeatable price. The Zen 4 3D middle child has been discounted by $100, dropping to an all-time low of $499. That is just $50 more than the MSRP of the 7800X3D and $160 cheaper than the Intel Core i9-13900K.

The Ryzen 9 7900X3D features x12 Zen 4 cores with a peak single-core boost clock of 5.6GHz. It features 128MB of L3 cache, 64MB of which is 3D stacked atop one of the CCDs. Unfortunately, this also means that only that particular die (and its six cores) have direct access to the V-Cache. Essentially, you’re getting six cores with 96MB of standard L3 cache and another six that can access the stacked cache with higher latency.

Therefore, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D is the slowest of the X3D processors in gaming. It’s still one of the fastest gaming chips on the market, faster than even the Core i9-13900K in many cases. If you’re looking to buy the other two V-Cache parts, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is going for $440 ($9 Off), while the Ryzen 9 7950X3D can be had for $669 ($30 Off).
