AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Cooled Comes to the DIY Market in India for $3,000+

AMD launched its Radeon RX 6900 XT earlier this month for SIs and pre-builds, with an estimated price of $1,200 USD. As you may have heard, this particular SKU isn’t headed to the DIY market, and as such, most enthusiasts won’t be able to get their hands on it. Whether this decision was made due to the graphics card shortages or some other reason remains unclear. However, some retailers in South Asia, India have started listing the Sapphire Radeon RX 6900 XT LC separately for a price of roughly $3,000.

This isn’t really surprising as retailers in South Asia generally have a larger amount of freedom when it comes to the sale of OEM parts. For example, the Ryzen 5 3500 and 3500X have been both been sold individually despite being restricted to pre-builts and SIs in the West.

And yes, since this is an OEM part, retailers can sell them at pretty much any price they want. Not that that’s not true for other retail parts either. We checked with AMD and turns out that these aren’t supposed to be sold in the retail sector in India either. Will have to wait and see if they take any action or not.
