AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Goes on Sale in China for 5999 RMB (~US$855) via Third-Party Sellers

Third-party sellers have already started selling mysteriously obtained units of the Ryzen 7000 processors in China. Goofish, an eBay-like e-commerce platform based in China presently has the Ryzen 9 7950X listed for 5999 RMB which translates to roughly $US855. This is a retail variant rather than an engineering or qualification sample with the same IHS and shell as seen in the official slides. (Ultram)

Of course, the price is over the top which is not surprising considering we’re still a week away from the official launch, and still lacking the official BIOS from board partners (making it useless for the time being). AMD has priced the Ryzen 9 7950X at an official MSRP of $699, making this unit approximately $150 pricier than its sticker price.
