AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D is Already Discounted by $50: Costs the Same as the 7900X at Launch

AMD’s Ryzen 9 7900X3D is down by $50 at certain retailers. The 12-core Zen 4 3D chip is one of the fastest gaming processors, with 12MB of L2 and 128MB of L3 cache. It launched at an MSRP of $599 but can now be had for $549 at Microcenter and $569 at Newegg. Courtesy of this $50 discount, the 7900X3D is now priced the same as the Ryzen 9 7900X (at launch).

While the Microcenter price looks permanent, the Newegg discount is likely a limited-time offer, after which the CPU will retail at $581 (still lower than its MSRP).

In case you’re wondering, the Ryzen 9 7900X is going for $418 and $431 on Microcenter and Newegg, respectively. That’s a discount of over $120 on a CPU launched less than a year ago. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D has also gotten a slight discount. The Raphael-X flagship costs $672 on Newegg, ~$30 off its $699 MSRP.

Meanwhile, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, faster than its siblings in gaming, is going strong at its $449 MSRP across most retailers. The Ryzen 9 7950X costs the same as the 7900X3D with a selling price of $578 on Newegg.
