AMD’s Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs are on a hot discount, making the fastest gaming chips more affordable than ever. Newegg is selling the Ryzen 9 7900X3D and 7950X3D for $60 and $69 less on eBay, 10% below their sticker price. Although the R7 7800X3D is faster than the 7950X3D in most titles, enabling Game Mode turns the tables on the former.
The Ryzen 9 7950X3D is a 16-core part featuring a 64MB of 3D stacked V-Cache on one of the dies and a second regular Zen 4 CCD. The 7900X3D features the same two dies, except two cores on each are disabled. Roughly speaking, the latter is the equivalent of a 7600X3D in gaming workloads, while the former is a 7800X3D with higher clocks (more on this in a future post).
This is a limited-time deal with several units already sold. Interestingly, Newegg isn’t offering the same pricing on its own website.
