AMD has informed us that all AM5 motherboards will be compatible with the Ryzen 7000X3D processors post a BIOS update. Furthermore, the chipmaker recommends an AIO liquid cooled solution with a 280mm radiator for its V-Cache offerings.

The Zen 4 3D family will have the same boost clocks as their vanilla variants but will come with a locked multiplier, limiting core overclocking. Memory and fabric overclocking, however, will remain untouched. Precision Boost Overdrive and Curve Optimization have also been added to these processors.
