AMD Ryzen 9 7900X Drops to $454.99 ($94 Off), and Ryzen 7 7700X Avail for $345 ($55 Off)

Retailers have begun discounting AMD’s Ryzen 7000 processors by as much as $100. High-end Zen 4 SKUs have started the slow and steady descent in anticipation of the upcoming Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. The Ryzen 9 7900X (MSRP: $549) is going for $454.99 on eBay, courtesy of a hefty $94 price cut.

This 12-core CPU is one of the best in heavily threaded workloads but falls short of the Core i7-13700K in gaming. However, at this price, it’s an absolute steal. Keep in mind that you’ll have to buy a new AM5 motherboard and some pricey DDR5 memory to go along with it.

The Ryzen 7 7700X has a sticker price of $399. Luckily, an eBay listing is giving it away for $345, courtesy of a $55 discount. The 7700X is an octa-core chip offering solid performance in ray-traced titles but often loses to the cheaper Core i5-13600K in lightly threaded gaming workloads. It’s a better pick if you are building a SFF PC with limited cooling.
