AMD’s Ryzen 9 5950X has been spotted on the PassMark CPU benchmark, scoring a record-breaking 3,693 points, beating the Intel Comet Lake-S flagship by almost 17%. Compared to its cheaper Vermeer sibling, we’re looking at a 5-7% advantage, primarily on account of the higher boost clock:

The multi-threaded benchmarks are less impressive as the core and thread counts are identical compared to the Zen 2 lineup.

The Threadrippers and Epyc CPUs retain their leadership in the multi-core segment, with the Ryzen 9 5950X coming just ahead of the Threadripper PRO 3955WX (16 core), beating its predecessor, the 3950X by around 6,000 points. The fastest Intel chip in this test is the Xeon Gold 6248R which scores 38,521 points.
