AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12 Core CPU Falls to $389, Almost Same as the Intel Core i7-10700K

With the launch of the Ryzen 3000XT CPUs, the vanilla Matisse parts seem to have dropped even further in pricing. The 12 core Ryzen 9 3900X which originally launched at $499 has now slipped to just $389, the same as Intel’s newly released Core i7-10700K ($375, but selling at over $400 at most retailers).

Although the 10700K is slightly faster in gaming workloads thanks to its higher boost clocks, the Ryzen 9 3900X is vastly superior in everything else from content creation to file compression and video encoding. It comes with 12 7nm Zen 2 cores running at a base clock of 3.8GHz and a boost of 4.6GHz. It has a massive L3 cache of 64MB and an L2 cache of 6MB.
