AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Selling More than the Intel 13th Gen and 12th Gen CPUs Combined in Germany [Mindfactory]

AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800X3D is selling like crazy with no signs of slowing down. The 3D V-Cache powered chip offers comparable performance to the newly launched Ryzen 9 7950X and the Core i9-13900K. This is all thanks to the fat last-level cache on the X3D, reducing the dependency on memory and significantly improving latency. The octa-core CPU has reduced boost clocks and doesn’t allow conventional overclocking via the multiplier.

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D sold a whopping 1,400 units at Germany’s largest retailer, Mindfactory. That’s considerably more than all of Intel’s 13th Gen Core processors, even when put together. The Raptor Lake-S family sold just under 500 units, while the 12th Gen Alder Lake chips sold even fewer. Overall, this puts the X3D’s sales figures on par, if not higher than Intel’s entire consumer CPU stack.
