AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Drops to $299: Fastest AM4 Gaming CPU is Now $150 Off

AMD’s last-gen Ryzen 7 5800X3D has taken another price hit, dropping to just $299, down from its launch MSRP of $449. It is one of the fastest gaming CPUs on the market, featuring eight Zen 3 cores alongside 32MB of L3 cache and another 64MB of 3D stacked LLC. Newegg has discounted the 5800X3D from $449 to just $322.99 with a $23 promo code bringing it down to $299.

In addition to the 5800X3D, the 5900X has been discounted out of bounds. The 12-core CPU launched at an MSRP of $549 but can now be had for just $299, a massive cut of $249. While it is slower than the 5800X3D in gaming, it does deliver decent content creation performance.

Looking at next-generation offerings, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is currently priced at $439, $10 less than its launch MSRP of $449. We tested the 7800X3D and found it to be the fastest gaming CPU on the market, beating the Core i9-13900K and the 7950X3D.

The other Zen 4 3D CPUs are also discounted by minuscule amounts, with the 7900X3D and 7950X3D getting a $15 and $30 discount, respectively.
