AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Price Drops to $420 (MSRP: $449)

If you are looking to buy a gaming processor, then AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800X is a prime choice for you. To sweeten the pot, retails have dropped the price of this octal-core monster from $449 to $420. Both Newegg and Amazon are selling the Zen 3 SKU for this price at the time of writing, although it’s not clear how long it’ll last. The Ryzen 7 5800X is the sweet spot for gamers as it packs the right core count and a high boost clock of close to 5GHz which allows it to perform quite well in both older (single-threaded) titles as well as newer games.

While Newegg is selling the SKU for $429, with a rebate of $10, Amazon has straight away priced it from $424, with some sellers selling it for even $418. The Ryzen 5 5600X is firmly fixed at its retail price of 9 while the Ryzen 9 series is selling quite a bit over its retail price. (divinewoodncrafts.com) Some sneaky sellers are also baiting consumers into buying the 5900X by pricing it at the MSRP of the 5950X, and then offering a $100 “discount”:
