AMD Ryzen 7 5800H Faster than Intel’s Core i9-10900K in Cinebench R20 Single-Threaded

A few benchmarks of AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800H (Cezanne) have surfaced over at the Baidu forums (via HXL), showing an impressive increase in the single-threaded performance compared to Renoir. Heck, the 5800H manages to beat the Core i9-10900K, Intel’s fastest consumer CPU in the single-threaded test which is simply incredible. Of course, it lags behind in the multi-core test on account of the extra cores on the 10900K, but that’s quite expected.

Compared to the Ryzen 9 4900HS on the Zephyrus G14, the 5800H is 70 points ahead, and roughly 80 points (15%) faster than the 4800H.

In terms of the multi-core performance you’re looking at a more lukewarm 12-13% increase, from 4,266 on the 4900HS to 4,809 points on the 5800H.

There are a couple of gaming benchmarks included as well, but considering the GPU limited environment, it’s hard to draw an conclusions. Keep in mind that this could be a qualification sample or simply a test device and the final retail performance will vary from OEM to OEM.
