AMD Ryzen 7 5700G “Cezanne” Desktop APU Sells on eBay for $499

AMD’s yet unannounced Ryzen 5000G APUs, otherwise known as Cezanne AM4 have already started popping up on eBay with the octa-core Ryzen 7 5700G going for $499. The chip in question is an engineering sample, and the fact that it’s being sold on the market in dozens really makes you wonder. How is this even happening? Doesn’t AMD keep a track of who gets ES of unreleased products?

Although the product is now out of stock, the seller was able to successfully sell over two dozen chips at a premium. The 5700G was available as a standalone item or paired with a B550/X570 motherboard.

Although the CPU works fine, the iGPU can’t be used just yet as the graphics drivers aren’t available as of now. In terms of performance, you are looking at a slightly lower clocked variant of the Ryzen 7 5800X, but a mild overclock can fix that. Similar to the Renoir AM4 processors, you can expect decent overclocking performance for both the cores as well as the memory.
