AMD Ryzen 7 4800H Powered Laptop Spotted on Amazon China: Shipping on 31st March

An AMD Ryzen 7 4800H powered ASUS TUF Gaming laptop has been listed on Amazon Chine with a price tag of 10K Yen. No that’s not as expensive as it sounds. Gaming laptops usually sell for as much as 15K Yen in China with the entry-level options with a Ryzen 5-3550H and a GTX 1650 starting at 7K and the top-end variants with a 9th Gen i7 and RTX based GPUs costing twice as much!

This ASUS TUF Gaming laptop is priced very reasonably at 10K Yen, 20% less than Intel’s flagship variants and 20% higher than the older Picasso based models. It’s paired with a capable GPU in the form of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and a 1TB NVMe based SSD. You get 16GB of DDR4 memory as expected and a 1080p 120Hz display in a 17-inch form factor.

In case you haven’t already noticed, this laptop ships from Amazon UK, rather than Mainland China. Furthermore, the sale starts on the 31st of March. At the time of launch, there will be 2020 units in stock, although more are expected soon. You can compare the Ryzen 7 4800H powered laptop to the older Picasso and competing Intel 9th Gen models to get a better idea of the pricing and competitiveness of the Renoir lineup. (anewcareer.org) In short, they’re looking real good:

Intel Core i7-9750H
Intel Core i5-9300H
