AMD Ryzen 7 4700G Overclocked to 4.8GHz on all Cores on Stock Cooler

The folks over at ITCooker have managed to overclocked their Ryzen 7 4700G sample to an impressive 4.8GHz across all eight cores. This is an impressive overclock of +350MHz over the stock clock of 4.45GHz. Best of all, this was done while keeping the voltage under 1.45v.

ASRock’s B550 Taichi motherboard was used for this little experiment and the idle temperature of the chip was recorded a decent 41 degrees.

The Ryzedn 7 4700G will come with eight 7nm Vega cores running at 2.1GHz, resulting in a total compute rating of 1.75 TFLOPs, same as the PS4. At the moment, it’s unclear whether the entire Renoir AM4 lineup will be available for retail, but we’ll know soon enough. The Ryzen 4000 desktop parts are expected to be announced by the end of the month.
