AMD’s Ryzen 7 3800X has fallen to $339 on Amazon, closer to the $289 selling price of the 3700X. The original launch price of the 3800X was $399, with most retailers selling it for around $364 to $388 at the moment.

The Ryzen 7 3800X is almost identical to the 3700X, with eight cores and sixteen threads, paired with 36MB of L3 cache (GameCache). Built on TSMC’s 7nm node, it’s much more efficient than Intel’s competing 9th and 10th Gen lineups. The only difference between the 3700X and 3800X is with respect to the base and boost clocks. While the 3700X has a base of 3.6GHz, the 3800X runs at 3.9GHz. The boost clocks are 100MHz apart, with the 3700X boosting to 4.4GHz and the 3800X to 4.5GHz. You may buy the chip here.
