It looks like the Ryzen 9 3900X isn’t the only CPU getting a price cut. The Ryzen 7 3700X and the budget-oriented Ryzen 5 3600 have also received the same treatment. The 3700X is now selling for $294 while the 3600 is going for just $172. Intel’s newly announced Core i5-10600K and the Core i7-10700K, on the other hand, are priced at $250 and $374, respectively. As per reviews, the Ryzen 7 3700X performs on par with the 10700K in non-gaming workloads while the Core i5-10600K is slightly faster than the 3600.

By dropping the prices of the Matisse chips, AMD has essentially skewed the price per dollar ratio strongly in its favor.

So, basically for $100 less, you’re getting 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs that are just 5-7% slower than the much more expensive 10th Gen Intel chips in gaming while performing pretty much the same in everything else.
