AMD’s board partners continue to release “unofficial” BIOS updates for the pre-400 series motherboards, well ahead of the prescribed date from AMD. The latest batch comes in the form of an Alpha BIOS for nearly all of ASRock’s X370 lineup and select B350 and A320 boards. The following X370 boards have received the update:
- X370 Gaming X
- X370 Killer SLI
- X370 PRO4
- X370M Pro4
- X370 Professional Gaming
- X370 TAICHI
- X370M-HDV
- X370 Gaming-ITX/ac

The BIOS update includes support for the Ryzen 5000 CPUs as well as the Ryzen 4000 APUs (Renoir AM4). The list of B350 and A320 boards to get the update is relatively shorter.
A320:
- A320M PRO4
- A320M-HDV
- A320M-HDV R3.0
- A320M-HDV R4.0
- A320M-ITX

B350:
- AB350 Gaming K4
- AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac
- AB350M-HDV

Officially, AMD has promised to bring Zen 3 support to only the B450 and X470 boards, and that too in January. As such, all the other BIOS updates for older models can be considered “unofficial” and may not be fully stable.
