A while back, we shared the specifications for AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 5 5600U APU “Cezanne” which will succeed Renoir sometime in 2021. This chip will feature six cores and twelve threads based on the Zen 3 core architecture, paired with a Vega 7 APU. Thanks to ExecutableFix, we now have the specifications for the entire Ryzen 5000 mobile APU lineup, both the Cezanne and Lucienne parts:
APU | Codename | C/T | Base/Boost | iGPU | L3 Cache | OPN |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Ryzen 7 5800U | Cezanne | 8/16 | 2GHz/4.4GHz | 8CUs 2GHz | 16MB | 100-0000000285 |
Ryzen 7 5700U | Lucienne | 8/16 | 1.8GHz/4.3GHz | 7CUs 1.8GHz | 12MB | 100-0000000371 |
Ryzen 5 5600U | Cezanne | 6/12 | 2.3GHz/4.2GHz | 7CUs 1.8GHz | 12MB | 00-0000000287 |
Ryzen 5 5500U | Lucienne | 6/12 | 2.1GHz/4GHz | 7CUs 1.8GHz | 8MB | 100-0000000375 |
Ryzen 3 5400U | Cezanne | 4/8 | 2.6GHz/4GHz | 6CUs 1.6GHz | 8MB | 100-0000000288 |
Ryzen 3 5300U | Lucienne | 4/8 | 2.6GHz/3.85GHz | 6CUs 1.5GHz | 4MB | 100-0000000376 |
There are three Cezanne APUs and three Lucienne, one occupying each performance tier. As already explained, the primary difference between the two will be in terms of the core architecture: the former leveraging Zen 3 and the latter Zen 2. Furthermore, at the lower-end, the L3 cache is lower for the Lucienne parts, with the 5300U packing just 4MB while its Cezanne part featuring twice as much.
Similarly, the Ryzen 5 5500U (Lucienne) includes an L3 cache of 8MB while the 5600U (Cezanne) upgrades it to 12MB. The iGPUs of the Cezanne and Lucienne APUs are mostly identical, with the boost clocks being slightly lower on the latter. The operating clocks of the two architectures also vary. The Zen 3 based Cezanne boast higher base and boost clocks due to them leveraging a more mature form of the 7nm node.
These mobile processors should be announced at CES 2021, where AMD CEO, Dr. Lisa Su is expected to be the keynote speaker.
