AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs Return to Retail Across Europe: Priced 5-8% Higher Than SEP

AMD’s Ryzen 5000 processors have slowly started to make their way back to the retail market after months of supply shortages. At the time of writing, we can confirm that the Zen 3 chips are now available across most of Europe, Russia, Britain, and even the Indian subcontinent within 5-10% of the MSRP. First, let’s have a look at the German market as the region generally drives a lot of sales for both AMD and Intel:

Both the Ryzen 5 5600X and the Ryzen 7 5800X are being sold within 50 Euros of the MSRP which is pretty great. The Ryzen 9 parts, however, are quite a bit expensive, with the 5900X priced at €849 and the 5950X at €1,189. This does make sense though as these CPUs come with twice the number of CCDs, with the latter requiring both to be completely functional

C/TUS MSRPEU MSRPAmazon Price
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X16/32$799€819€1,189
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X12/24$549€549€848
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X8/16$449€449€479
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X6/12$299€309€359

The prices over in the UK are more or less the same, with the 5600X and 5800X being sold very close to the MSRP while the 5900X and 5950X costing 20-30% more than the SEP.

In the Indian market, TPS Tech, an authorized seller of AMD hardware has started selling the Ryzen 5000 CPUs at exactly the launch prices which is pretty remarkable. Considering that prices in this region are generally over the top, this is good news for people from the subcontinent. At the time of writing, only the Ryzen 5 5600X and 5800X are available, but the 5900X should be available soon enough as well.
