AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs on Discounts of Up to $80 on MSRPs Across the Board

Although AMD’s Ryzen 5000 processors effectively dethroned Intel’s offerings in every segment, they came with a hefty price markup. The cheapest SKU (R5 5600X) is priced at $299, with the shortages pushing the prices to over $400 in some cases. Luckily, the supply has improved, and it’s not hard to find these processors at the MSRPs. Even better, retailers have started offering discounts on account of the increased competition from Intel’s 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S lineup.

At the moment, you can buy all the Zen 3 SKUs at discounts of up to $80 across Amazon, Newegg, BestBuy, and Micro Center. While the discounts on the Ryzen 5000 processors generally average $50, you can snag the 5800X for $369 (MSRP: $449) at Micro Center. If you don’t live near one, then your best price is Newegg’s $389 (including the coupon).

Unsurprisingly, the price cuts on the 5600X are much smaller, with Newegg offering it for $272, and Micro Center for $269 (MSRP: $299). Higher up the stack, we have the Ryzen 9 5900X selling for $499 on MC and $519 on Newegg. Finally, the top-end Vermeer part, the Ryzen 9 5950X is going for $749 on MC and $784 on Newegg.
