AMD Ryzen 5 7600X is Faster or on Par with the Intel Core i9-12900K in Most Games

The Ryzen 5 7600X is AMD’s core offering for the budget gaming audience. Featuring six Zen 4 cores and sixteen threads, it offers a substantial performance boost over its Zen 3 predecessor. We’re looking at gains of up to 40% over the Ryzen 5000 parts. More importantly, the cheapest Raphael chip not only levels with but also beats the fastest Intel offering on the market vis-à-vis the Core i9-12900K.

Out of all the games tested by Mydrivers, the Ryzen 5 7600X is on par or faster than the Core i9-12900K. The Ryzen 7 7700X and 7900X pull ahead in specific titles, but in most, the 7600X is more than sufficient for gamers using 60 to 120Hz monitors.
