AMD just launched the Ryzen 5 5600G and 5700G (Cezanne AM4) for the mainstream DIY market the other day. In just 48 hours, the sales of the two new APUs have skyrocketed, selling nearly a thousand units (each) at German retailer “Mindfactory” alone. The Cezanne APUs beat their Vermeer counterparts by nearly 50% in terms of sales figures, reaching the top of the charts hours after launch.
A decent integrated GPU and lower price-tags compared to the Ryzen 5000 CPUs have seemingly attracted a large DIY crowd. It’ll be interesting to see how these parts perform in Asian countries like India, China, and Korea where their predecessors sold the most.
Unfortunately, unlike the 3200G and the 3400G, both the 5000G APUs are priced slightly over the budget of most mainstream gamers. In India, the AMD Ryzen 5000 G-Series processors with Radeon Graphics are expected to be available from global etailers/retailers and on AMD.com starting today. The prices are as follows:
- AMD Ryzen™ 7 5700G – INR 29,990 + GST
- AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600G – INR 22,990 + GST
In the market, the 5600G is available for 27K INR, while the 5700G is going for a rather unreasonable 35K INR. In comparison, the 5600X is priced at 27.5K INR and the 5800X at 39K INR. And you thought Newegg/Amazon were gouging consumers.
