AMD Ryzen 5 4600H Seems to be as Fast as the 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H

Some AMD Ryzen 5 4600H benchmarks have been spotted and it seems like the mid-range Renoir chip is going to be as fast as the 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H. Barring the Core i9 models which will be restricted to just a few select absurdly expensive devices, the 10750H is going to be the 10th Gen Intel H series flagship.

The fact that a midrange Ryzen 4000 APU is able to keep up with it is rather embarrassing for Intel, but it’s not surprising by any means. Both the Ryzen 5 4600H and the Core i7-10750H are hex-core chips with SMT. The latter will still be faster in single-threaded workloads and gaming on account of its higher core clocks, but in multi-threaded applications, it should perform similar to the 4600H.

As already mentioned, the Ryzen 5 4600H and the Core i7-10750H are within inches of one another, while the higher-end Ryzen 7 4800HS is considerably faster. The latter has two additional cores or four more threads when you take SMT into account. It’s also clocked higher and comes with a much more powerful GPU. Regardless, it seems that Intel’s about to get the same treatment in the mobile gaming market as it’s presently getting in the DIY space.
