AMD Ryzen 4000 “Renoir” Desktop APU Specs Leaked: 8 CPU Cores and iGPU on Par with the PS4

Igor Wallossek, formerly the lead-editor of TomsHardware Germany and now the face behind Igor’s Lab has leaked the specs of the Ryzen 4000 desktop APU lineup. While the shared details pertain to engineering samples, the final variants won’t be too different. As expected the Ryzen 4000 desktop APUs are going to include the same base specs as the mobile counterparts, they’ll still be faster thanks to higher clock speeds and overclocking potential. On the CPU side, we’re looking at eight cores running at a base clock of 3.8GHz and a boost just above 4.4GHz.

As far as the integrated graphics are concerned, you’re looking at up to eight 7nm Vega core running at up to 2100MHz, resulting in total computing power of nearly 2 TFLOPs, the same as the PlayStation 4. While the above table contains a ton of models, keep in mind these OEM figures and the final APUs will be limited to 3-4 variants.

Like preceding generations, there will be 65W models and the low-power 35W GE variants. The 65W APUs will boost up to 4,450 MHz on the CPU side while the integrated graphics will have a maximum boost clock of 2,100MHz. The low-power 35W parts, however, will be limited to 4,350MHz on the CPU and 2000MHz for the iGPU. In addition, the latter will also spend lesser time at the boost clocks resulting in notably lower sustained performance.

Here’s a spec chart of the Ryzen 4000 desktop APU (expected):
