AMD Ryzen 4000 “Renoir” APU for Microsoft Surface Leaks Out

It looks like Microsoft is working on another AMD powered Surface Book, this time based around the 7nm Renoir parts. The below Geekbench 5 benchmark is the first solid evidence we’ve seen in this regard.

Although the listing mentions the processor name as Ryzen 7 3780U, the core and thread count are twice as much as the said chip. Furthermore, the codename is also Renoir instead of Picasso, and so is the memory configuration.

It’s very likely that this Renoir-powered Surface Book will be unveiled at CES 2021, where the AMD CEO, Dr. Lisa Su is going to deliver the keynote.
