AMD Ryzen 3000XT CPUs Beat Intel’s 10th Gen Parts in Both Single as well as Multi-Threaded Tests [Geekbench]

As per the latest Geekbench scores of the Ryzen 3000XT processors, AMD’s Matisse refresh will snatch the performance crown from Intel’s 10th Gen Comet Lake lineup just months after the latter’s launch. Unlike traditional tests where Intel would lead in single-threaded workloads with AMD edging past in multi-threaded, this time the Ryzen 3000XT processors take the cake across al the benchmarks, ST as well as MT:

Ryzen 5 3600XT vs Core i5-10600K

As you can see, the Ryzen 5 3600XT is just marginally faster in the single-threaded test but marks a lofty win in the multi-threaded benchmark. For the sake of feature parity, both the chips are using Gigabyte Aorus Master boards.

Ryzen 7 3800XT vs Core i7-10700K

The same result is replicated in the Ryzen 7 3800XT vs Core i7-10700K test. The former is faster the latter in both single-threaded and multi-threaded workloads. The deltas aren’t too wide, but let’s not forget that the XT is cheaper than the 10700K, comes with more features as well as requires cheaper motherboards. Keep in mind that the final results will be even more hinged in the favor of the 3800XT as the memory used in these tests is much slower than recommended @ 1599MHz. (provigil buy europe) The Intel part, on the other hand, is paired with standard 1800MHz dual-channel memory.

Ryzen 9 3900XT vs Core i9-10900K

Finally, at the top-end, we have the Ryzen 9 3900XT and the Core i9-10900K. Here, the Intel flagship manages to save face by winning in the single-threaded test, but still losing out in the multi-threaded benchmark. However, I’m quite confidant that the 3900XT, when paired with the right memory and cooler will once again come out on top.
